Types of Searches
Simple Search
If you’re looking for something specific, enter a word or words, a phrase, or a name in the Keyword Search box above. This is the best way to find an article that you know the title of but don’t know the issue in which it appeared. Words like “interview” or “blues” will return vast numbers of results, so be as specific as possible when using the Simple Search. If you are looking for interviews or articles on blues, use the Advanced Search feature described below.
Advanced Search
Use this search method when you know the name of the author of an article, or the department in which it appeared, or if you want to see all the articles that have appeared in Guitar Teacher on a certain topic such as “blues.” You can make complex queries by combining search criteria. For example, Article Type = “Instruction” and Music Style = “Blues” will show you all of the instructional articles on blues that have appeared in the magazine. A keyword is optional in making a complex query.
